N’Golo Kante states his prediction for Liverpool v Chelsea

N'Golo Kante warns Liverpool that Chelsea are ready to hit them on the counter at Anfield tonight...

N’Golo Kante has warned Liverpool that Chelsea are primed to hit them on the counter-attack ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League showdown at Anfield.

The Blues head into the game looking to continue their fine form in the Premier League and keep their place at the top of the table.

Chelsea are currently eight points clear of second-placed and 10 ahead of Liverpool ahead of the showdown on Merseyside.

Liverpool beat Chelsea when the two teams last met in the Premier League back in September at Stamford Bridge but the Blues have since established themselves as the clear favourites to win the title this term.

Kante is wary of the attacking threat posed by Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield on Tuesday night, but the midfielder is convinced that Antonio Conte’s men have what it takes to claim all three points.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website before the game, Kante said: “It’s another game, and we must think about ourselves, not their form. Liverpool are a good team who have players capable of scoring at any time.

“They like to press high. If we are able to escape this pressure, we can get in good positions to counter-attack.

“We are first now and we have good confidence, but we know there is a long way to go. We have two very important games this week against two of the closest teams to us. If we manage them well, we can go far.”

Chelsea finished 10th and without a trophy last season.
