Paul Pogba offers Man United insight into Antoine Griezmann’s best qualities
The Manchester United record signing has described Antoine Griezmann as 'fast and agile'
Paul Pogba has given Manchester United supporters the lowdown on Antoine Griezmann amid reports linking the Atletico Madrid striker with a move to Old Trafford.
The Sun reported on Friday that Manchester United are ready to offer Griezmann parity with Pogba on £220,000 a week if the France international moves to Old Trafford in the summer.
The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in recent seasons after he scored 44 times in back-to-back La Liga seasons under Diego Simeone.
Pogba played alongside Griezmann during the European championship last summer as les Bleus reached the final before losing 1-0 to Portugal in extra time.
Asked to discuss Griezmann’s qualities in an interview with Fifa’s website, Pogba explained what makes the France forward one of the best strikers in Europe.
“I think it’s his finishing. He wasn’t a striker before but now he scores so many goals,” Pogba said.
“He’s very clever and he plays with his body. He’s not that big, he’s small, he’s fast and agile and he scores goals. That makes him Griezmann, the very good player that he is.”
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils bought in Pogba in an £89m deal from Serie A champions Juventus.
