Paul Scholes discusses Man United’s future under Jose Mourinho

Paul Scholes says the future is bright at Manchester United after their recent good form under Jose Mourinho

Paul Scholes claimed that the future is bright under Jose Mourinho for Manchester United after their upturn in form in recent weeks.

The Red Devils notched up their eighth straight win in all competitions on Saturday lunchtime when they secured a 4-0 victory over Reading at Old Trafford in the third round of the FA Cup.

Goals from Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and two second-half strikes from Marcus Rashford handed Mourinho’s men victory and their place in the fourth round of the cup competition.

Manchester United have been in much improved form in recent weeks and have won their last six games in the Premier League under Mourinho.

And Scholes feels that the Red Devils are finally finding their feet for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as Manchester United boss back in 2013.

Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday afternoon, Scholes said: “The manager had a big job on his hands here to rebuild confidence at the club.

“It has taken him a little bit of time but he is probably ahead of schedule really.

“Now they look like a really good team and they’ve got the confidence back. There is some real quality in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Their future looks great.”
