Paul Scholes makes bold prediction about Diego Costa at Chelsea
Paul Scholes says Diego Costa is likely to leave Chelsea in the summer if he does not go this month
Paul Scholes believes that Diego Costa is likely to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window – if he does not go this month.
The Blues striker was left out of the Chelsea team to face Leicester City on Saturday due to a back injury but there have been reports of a falling out with one of the west London club’s coaches.
There have also been claims that Costa has been offered a lucrative transfer to China this month as the speculation about his future intensifies.
Costa has been one of the Premier League’s top players this season and has scored 14 goals and made five assists for the Blues to help them top the Premier League table.
However, former Manchester United midfielder Scholes feels that the writing is already on the wall for the Spanish striker.
Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show, Scholes said: “I think if he stays it will be until the end of the season. I don’t think we’ll see him again here next year.”
Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League table after their 3-0 win over Leicester.
