Per Mertesacker sends message to Arsenal stars after Bournemouth comeback

Per Mertesacker was thrilled to see Arsenal battle back to earn a point against Bournemouth on Tuesday

Per Mertesacker has taken to social media to praise Arsenal’s players for showing the grit and determination to come from three goals down to draw 3-3 at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

The north London side found themselves three goals down early in the second half at the Vitality Stadium after goals from Charlie Daniels, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser.

However, goals from Alexis Sanchez, Lucas Perez and Oliver Giroud in the second half handed Arsenal a point in the Premier League title race.

The result was still a disappointing one for Arsenal, who trail Premier League leaders Chelsea by eight points heading into the Blues’ clash with Tottenham on Wednesday night.

However, Mertesacker used his personal Twitter account to praise Arsenal’s fighting spirit after their comeback against the Cherries.
