Phil Neville heaps praise on Marcus Rashford after he helped to fire Manchester United to a 4-0 FA Cup win over Reading
Phil Neville singled out Marcus Rashford for special praise after Manchester United secured a 4-0 win over Reading to book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.
Rashford was restored to the starting line-up by Jose Mourinho after impressing as a substitute during the Red Devils’ 2-0 Premier League win over West Ham United at the London Stadium last week.
After Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial had put Manchester United 2-0 up in the first half, the England striker scored his first goal since September in the 75th minute at Old Trafford with a brilliant finish after being slid through on goal by Michael Carrick.
Rashford then made it 4-0 shortly after when he capitalised on a defensive mix-up in the Reading rearguard and finished from close range.
And former Manchester United star Neville used his personal Twitter account to heap praise on Rashford during Saturday’s FA Cup win.

Manchester United will now turn their attentions back towards EFL Cup affairs and the first leg of their semi-final clash against Hull City on Tuesday night.
The win was Manchester United’s eighth in a row in all competitions, marking their best run since 2009.
