Shkodran Mustafi has taken to social media to wish Emre Can a happy birthday after the midfielder turned 23 on Thursday.

Mustafi is currently getting to grips with life in the Premier League following his transfer to Arsenal from Valencia in the summer transfer window.

The Germany international has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Gunners since his arrival in England and has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team.

And Mustafi used his personal Instagram account to send a special birthday message to his Germany team-mate Can on Thursday afternoon.

Mustafi posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “Emre abi, all the best! I hope you have a great day – see you soon my friend! 👌🏽 #happybirthday #friends #sm20 @ec2323”

Can will be hoping to feature for Liverpool when the Reds return to Premier League action this weekend with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
