Michy Batshuayi is feeling confident that he can continue his excellent goal-scoring form in the cup competitions when Chelsea host Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Belgium international has found his first-team opportunities limited this season despite being signed a £34m deal from Ligue 1 side Lille in the summer.
Batshuayi scored twice in three League Cup appearances before Chelsea were eliminated at the hands of their London rivals West Ham United.
The summer signing got on the score sheet in Chelsea’s 4-1 win against Championship side Peterborough United in the third round at Stamford Bridge.
So Batshuayi could be forgiven for feeling somewhat confident about his prospects of finding the back of the net against another Championship side – Brentford – this weekend.
The Chelsea striker posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Straight 🔥🔥🔥 for tomorrow’s game 🔵 #X16 #neverfollow”
Batshuayi was one of five summer signings under Conte as the former Juventus boss looked to stamp his authority on the west London club.
