David De Gea poses with a young Manchester United fan after gifting the young goalkeeper a pair of his gloves
David De Gea posed with a young goalkeeper on Wednesday after the Manchester United shot stopper presented the fan with a pair of signed gloves.
The Spain international has been one of Manchester United’s most-consistent players in the 2016-17 season so far under new manager Jose Mourinho.
De Gea has conceded 20 times in 21 games in the Premier League which is the third-best record in the top flight despite regular changes in Mourinho’s back four.
The 26-year-old has been named the club’s player of the year in the past three seasons during what has been an otherwise tough spell for the Manchester club.
However, De Gea was spreading the joy on Wednesday afternoon after the Manchester United number one posed for a photo with a young fan after gifting a pair of gloves.
De Gea posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Today I met Sam, this great young goalkeeper. I hope that my gloves help him to save everything! @manchesterunitedfoundation”
Manchester United are in sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Chelsea with 17 games remaining in the current campaign.
