Dele Alli has taken to social media to thank Tottenham’s fans for their support after he helped to inspire his side to a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old scored a header either side of half-time to hand Mauricio Pochettino’s men the three points as they became the first team to beat Chelsea in 13 Premier League games.

The result has blown the Premier League title race wide open and allowed Tottenham to leapfrog their bitter north London rivals Arsenal up into third place in the top flight table.

Tottenham are aiming to go one better this season after they finished third in the top flight last term.

And Alli used his personal Instagram account to reveal his delight at having helped the north London side claim all three points on Wednesday night.

Alli shared the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “What a feeling, fans were amazing yesterday 💙”
