Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory over Manchester City thanks to Georginio Wijnaldum's early goal
Roberto Firmino looked to be in good spirits as he was joined by his Liverpool team-mates to celebrate their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Anfield dressing room on Saturday night.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored the only goal of the game at Anfield with an early header as Jurgen Klopp’s men secured the three points to keep up the pace on Premier League leaders Chelsea.
It was a hard-fought victory for Klopp’s side as the Reds continued their good form in the Premier League.
And the Liverpool players celebrated the win in the Anfield dressing room after the final whistle, as goalkeeper Loris Karius also got involved despite having been relegated to the bench in recent games.
Divock Origi posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Feelin like this is a good way to end the year! 🔴🔴🔴”
Karius also shared the same photo on his own account and wrote the caption: “Yes! Such an important win in the last game of the year! Great performance, boys. Wish everyone a Happy New Year! 🔥😎 #WeAreLiverpool #LIVMCI @liverpoolfc”
Liverpool now turn their attentions towards their clash against Sunderland on Monday afternoon.
