Granit Xhaka looked to have put his disappointing red card behind him as the Arsenal midfielder posed for a snap with a friend in front of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben in London on Tuesday afternoon.
The Switzerland international endured a frustrating weekend after the defensive midfielder was sent off for a two-footed lunge on Burnley midfielder Steven Defour in the second half of their 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.
Xhaka’s red card left his Arsenal team-mates with 10 men for the final half hour after Shkodran Mustafi broke the deadlock with a header from Mesut Ozil’s corner shortly before the Swiss midfielder’s sending off.
Burnley striker Andre Grey levelled in added time from the penalty spot before Alexis Sanchez managed to salvage three points with a late spot-kick of his own in a dramatic end to the Premier League clash.
The Arsenal midfielder posted the above photo on his Instagram page with the following caption: “🚶🏻🚶🏻🇬🇧🚶🏻🚶🏻”
Xhaka has now received two red cards since his £33m move to Arsenal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window.
