Granit Xhaka made the trip to Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon as the Arsenal midfielder caught up with a mate less than 24 hours after their 4-0 win at Swansea City.

Arsenal eased to victory over the Welsh outfit courtesy of two own goals and efforts from Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez at the Liberty Stadium.

The north London side ended a four-game run without a Premier League win on the road courtesy of their victory over Paul Clement’s side.

Arsenal are eight points behind current leaders Chelsea after 21 games as Arsene Wenger looks to end a 12-year Premier League trophy drought.

However, Arsenal summer signing Xhaka was relaxing with a mate in Dutch capital Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon as he took a break from football.

Xhaka posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“…Amsterdam with a good friend 😀 @1mr.s”

Arsenal signed Xhaka in a £33m deal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners finished in second place in the Premier League table last season.
