John Terry takes to social media after Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Tottenham in the Premier League
John Terry has taken to social media to issue a Chelsea rallying cry after the Blues’ 2-0 loss to Tottenham in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Dele Alli scored either side of half-time to hand the Lilywhites all three points at White Hart Lane and condemn Chelsea to their first defeat in 13 outings in the Premier League.
Chelsea are still flying high at the top of the Premier League table and are five points clear of second-placed Liverpool heading into the next round of fixtures.
And despite the disappointment of Wednesday’s result, Terry has insisted that Chelsea will keep their heads held high as they focus on the next game.
The Chelsea skipper posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Naturally we’re disappointed to lose tonight, but let’s not forget what a great run of games we have been on and the attitude and performances we have shown in these games to put us in this position. We’re still top of the league and that’s where we want to be come the end of May.
“We will pick ourselves up and go again 👊🏻 @chelseafc”
Chelsea’s form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th in the table and without a trophy.
