John Terry had fun discussing Chelsea-Liverpool rivalry with Steven Gerrard on Thursday afternoon ahead of the bitter Premier League clash at Anfield next week.

The Chelsea captain has struggled to break into Antonio Conte’s first-team this season after the Italian opted to stick with Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and David Luiz as part of a back three in the Premier League leaders.

Terry has played out many memorable battles with Gerrard and his Liverpool team-mates in the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the League Cup, with both clubs have successes and disappointments.

The ex-Liverpool captain retuned to the Anfield outfit as a youth coach earlier this month after the midfielder called time on his professional career after a disappointing two-year spell at Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.

Terry posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Great catching up with @stevengerrard today discussing the rivalry and battles we had over the years for our clubs.
Great interview previewing our game against Liverpool next week.
Good to see you mate ⚽️
