John Terry has taken to social media to wish John Obi Mikel all the best after the midfielder confirmed his transfer away from Chelsea on Friday.

Mikel had been handed a watching brief at Stamford Bridge this season under Antonio Conte and had failed to break into the starting line-up during the Premier League campaign.

The midfielder confirmed on Friday that he would be heading to China to join Tianjin TEDA just days after Oscar’s transfer to Shanghai SIPG was confirmed.

Terry has played alongside Mikel for a number of years at Chelsea and the Blues skipper was quick to wish his former team-mate all the best after his exit from the west London club was confirmed.

Terry shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I would like to wish this LEGEND of a player and man all the very best with his move to China 🇨🇳

|Gutted to see you go “Old Boy” gonna miss you both on and off the pitch ,so many great memories together 🎉🎊🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 Love ya Obi. Good luck mate 💙
