Kurt Zouma trained at Cobham on Friday as he prepares to start for Chelsea in the FA Cup

Kurt Zouma looked to be in good shape as the defender trained at Cobham ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Peterborough in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.

The 22-year-old defender is yet to make a single appearance for the Blues this season as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury suffered earlier in the year.

However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte confirmed on Friday that he will be handing Zouma his first start of the season this weekend for the Blues’ FA Cup clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

And the France international looked to be in good shape as he trained at Cobham ahead of the FA Cup clash in west London.

It remains to be seen whether Zouma will be able to earn a regular spot in the Chelsea first team moving forwards given that the Blues have been performing so will in their new formation in recent weeks.
