Lucas Leiva has taken to social media to share a cryptic update with his followers ahead of Liverpool’s FA Cup clash against Plymouth at Anfield on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are preparing to kick off their FA Cup campaign against the Championship side as they look to book their place in the fourth round of the cup competition.

With no European football this season, the FA Cup represents one of Liverpool’s three chances of winning a domestic trophy this season, along with the EFL Cup and Premier League.

Lucas’ future at Liverpool has been a source of speculation in recent weeks amid reports that he could be set to leave the Merseyside club on loan this month.

However, the Brazilian looked to be completely focused on the task at hand as he trained with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of the cup clash, and also welcomed Philippe Coutinho back from injury.

Lucas posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Don’t give Up just because of what someone said. Use that as motivation to push harder.

“Good to have you back brother @phil.coutinho 💪👊🏻”
