Sadio Mane takes to Instagram after the Liverpool forward helps Senegal reach the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals

Sadio Mane celebrated helping Senegal reach the Africa Cup of Nations last eight with an Instagram post on Thursday night.

The Liverpool forward broke the deadlock in Senegal’s 2-0 win against Zimbabwe as his national team became the first team to reach the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final.

Mane was in good goal-scoring form before he headed off to the major tournament and even found the net in his last Liverpool appearance in a 2-2 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Liverpool forward Mane posted the below photo on his Instagram to celebrate Senegal’s place in the last eight.

Mane moved to Liverpool in a £34m deal from Southampton in the summer transfer window as one of Klopp’s seven summer signings at Anfield.

The African forward has scored nine times and has made four assists in 19 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool are in third place in the table and seven points adrift of current leaders Chelsea after 21 games.
