The Liverpool signing reflects on Sunday's goalless draw with Plymouth in the FA Cup third round
Loris Karius was left excited about Liverpool’s future despite a disappointing goalless draw with Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup third round at Anfield on Sunday.
The German goalkeeper was restored to Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up for the visit of the League Two side after Karius was dropped in December for a series of erratic performances.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager fielded the youngest Liverpool side since 1965 as Klopp opted to give youth a chance to impress in the cup clash ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final at Southampton on Wednesday night.
However, Liverpool were unable to break down a resilient Plymouth side despite the introduction of big-hitters Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana in the second half.
But Liverpool signing Karius was pleased to see so many young exciting talents on the pitch as he posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Not the result we were after, but it was really great to see so many young players on the pitch. Thanks for your support today! 👍🏼 #LIVPLY #YNWA #LK1 @liverpoolfc”
Liverpool are in second place in the Premier League table.
