Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping Arsenal beat Burnley 2-1 at The Emirates to move up to second place in the Premier League table.

After a goalless first half at The Emirates, Arsenal took the lead when summer signing Shkodran Mustafi headed home Ozil’s corner in the 59th minute.

Arsenal were then reduced to 10 men when Granit Xhaka was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle.

Burnley then equalised deep into second-half stoppage time when Francis Coquelin conceded a penalty, which Andre Gray duly converted.

But it was the Gunners who had the final say, when Sanchez stepped up and scored from the spot after Laurent Koscielny was fouled in the box.

The win lifted Arsenal up to second ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Hull City on Sunday.

And Ozil was clearly delighted to play his part in helping the Gunners claim all three points at The Emirates.

Ozil posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Rollercoaster of emotions today 😱😅 3 points – that’s what counts 💪🏽 #YaGunnersYa #AFCvBFC @arsenal”
