The Manchester United midfielder sends a message to the club's supporters after his poor performance against Liverpool
Paul Pogba admitted that he struggled to perform during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
The France international was guilty of being careless in possession during the north-west derby before Pogba dragged a first-half chance wide with just Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to beat.
Pogba’s afternoon took a turn for the worst when the £89m signing conceded a first-half penalty after the midfielder handled the ball in the area to deny Dejan Lovren a header in David De Gea’s area.
The 23-year-old was dispossessed three times and finished with a pass completion of just 71 per cent to compound what was a disappointing performance, although Zlatan Ibrahimovic levelled with a late header at Old Trafford.
Pogba took to his Instagram page on Monday afternoon to hold his hands up and thanks Manchester United fans for their continued support.
Pogba wrote: “#💩happens… That’s when we need be strong. I’m here, ready to fight and ready for the next one!!! I’d like to thank the supporters who are always there and keep believing in me. At least we did not lose. Never stop fighting 💪🏾”
The France midfielder moved to Manchester United in an £89m deal from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
