Theo Walcott has taken to Instagram to reveal that he is working hard on his strength as the Arsenal forward looks to recover from a calf injury.

The England international hasn’t featured for the north London side since breaking the deadlock in a 2-1 defeat by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in December.

Walcott has missed Arsenal’s home victories over West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace, while he was sidelined for their 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in their last Premier League fixture on the road.

The 27-year-old was absent for Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Preston North End last weekend as Arsene Wenger’s side came from behind to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Walcott posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption to give Arsenal supporters an insight into his progress with his calf problem:

“Keeping strong 💪🏾 #weights”
