Thibaut Courtois enjoyed some downtime away from football after Chelsea's FA Cup win over Peterborough

Thibaut Courtois enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat with some friends on Sunday after Chelsea’s 4-1 FA Cup win over Peterborough at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea goalkeeper was rested by Antonio Conte as the Blues secured a thumping win at Stamford Bridge to book their place in the fourth round of the cup competition.

Conte opted to start Asmir Begovic in goal for the Blues as the west London side secured their progress thanks to goals from Pedro, Willian and Michy Batshuayi.

Courtois has been in superb form for Chelsea this season and his solid performances in goal have been one of the key factors behind their run to the top of the Premier League table.

And the Belgian looked pleased to be given some time off over the weekend as he enjoyed a meal out with some friends.

Courtois shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Had a nice dinner with my friends @nico_bandeira and @joeycottlekeys !”
