The Chelsea goalkeeper reflects on Sunday's 2-0 win against Hull City
Thibaut Courtois has admitted that Chelsea didn’t produce their best performance in their 2-0 win over Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Diego Costa broke the deadlock in added time at the end of the first half after the Spain international finished from close range on his return to the Chelsea side.
The Blues extended their lead in the second half through Gary Cahill as Antonio Conte’s side moved eight points clear of second-placed Arsenal after their close-fought win.
Chelsea have won 15 of their last 16 games in the Premier League to help Conte’s side underline their status as title favourites.
Courtois, who made a brilliant save to deny Hull’s Oumar Niasse in the final moments of the Premier League clash, posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Not our best game, but important 3 points today!! I want to wish #ryanmason the very best!! 💙⚪️ #cfc”
Chelsea will make the trip to title rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League game at Anfield on Tuesday 31 January.
The Blues lost 3-1 to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in September.
