Pundit makes exciting prediction about Harry Kane and Tottenham in title race

The Tottenham legend has been impressed with Harry Kane and Spurs in the title race so far this season

Garth Crooks has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur could win their first Premier League title this season.

The north London side eased to a 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon thanks to Gareth McAuley’s own goal and Harry Kane’s hat-trick.

The England international has scored 14 times in 16 games in the Premier League this season so far despite the centre-forward struggling with an ankle injury for almost two months.

Tottenham’s 4-0 win against the Baggies hoisted Mauricio Pochettino’s side up to second place in the Premier League table ahead of their title rivals Liverpool on goal difference.

Former Spurs forward Crooks has optimistically predicted that Tottenham could finally end their wait to win a first Premier League title this season.

“Normally when you score a hat-trick it doesn’t get much better than that – but when he has seen the birth of his first child in the same week, I’m beginning to think this might be Harry Kane and Tottenham’s year,” Crooks told BBC Sport.

Tottenham have the best defensive record in the Premier League this season after conceding 14 times in 21 games.
