Pundit makes prediction about Man United’s January transfer business
Chris Kirkland is expecting Manchester United to sell some players this month...
Chris Kirkland is expecting to see Manchester United try and cash in on Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in the January transfer window.
Both players have been heavily linked with transfers away from Old Trafford in recent weeks due to their lack of playing time at Old Trafford this season.
Schneiderlin has been touted as a possible target for Everton and Jose Mourinho recently confirmed that the French midfielder had asked to leave Old Trafford.
Depay has also been linked with a move away and has been touted as a possible target for Serie A side AC Milan.
And former England goalkeeper Kirkland has revealed that he is fully expecting to see Manchester United try and trim down their squad in the January transfer window.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Monday, Kirkland said: “Obviously Schneiderlin will be gone and they’ll try to get Memphis Depay out as well.
“It all comes down to figures. Man United will have a price for these players and it depends what the clubs are willing to spend on these players.
“Man United will definitely want to trim one or two.”
Manchester United are currently gearing up for their crunch Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
