Pundit rates Tottenham’s Premier League title hopes this season

Danny Mills is backing Tottenham to push for the Premier League title this season

Danny Mills believes that Tottenham have a great chance of winning the Premier League title this season – because there are no weaknesses in Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

The Lilywhites underlined their status as genuine challengers for the Premier League title this term with a thumping 4-0 win over West Brom at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

That result left Pochettino’s men in second place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea as they look to climb the table.

Spurs were dealt a blow at the weekend, however, after Jan Vertonghen was ruled out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury.

However, Mills feels that the north London side have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Mills said: “The Tottenham team that started [against West Brom] is exceptional. I don’t see a weakness.

“Jan Vertonghen is a big miss. I don’t know how long he will be out for.

“There is no opportunity to say that’s where you can get at them. If they can keep that team fit, they’ve got a chance.”
