Ray Parlour believes Chelsea should be aiming for a FA Cup and Premier League double under Antonio Conte this season

Chelsea should be aiming for an FA Cup and Premier League double this season, according to Ray Parlour.

The west London side are eight points clear at the top of the table thanks to an unconvincing 2-0 win against Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon following goals from Diego Costa and Gary Cahill.

Chelsea have won 15 of their last 16 games in the Premier League ahead of the small matter of a trip to title rivals Liverpool in their next top-flight game at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Antonio Conte’s side will have to take care of their FA Cup fourth-round clash against Championship side Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon before that the long journey to Merseyside.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast, former Arsenal midfielder Parlour explained what Chelsea should be targeting for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.

“They must be looking at the situation and thinking, we can win the double here. They’re in a very healthy position in the league. Let’s concentrate on the cup and get to Wembley. They can win the double which would be a great season for Chelsea,” Parlour said.
