Pundit: What I really like about tough Liverpool signing
Alan Brazil says he is a huge fan of Liverpool signing Sadio Mane
Alan Brazil has hailed Liverpool summer signing Sadio Mane as a tough player.
The Senegal international completed a £34m move to Liverpool from Southampton in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looked to bolster his squad.
Mane has been the standout player of Liverpool’s seven summer signings after a return of eight goals and has made four assists in 17 top-flight outings.
The Senegalese forward scored Liverpool’s winner in the fourth minute of added time to seal a 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
Speaking on his own podcast ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Manchester City on New Year’s Eve, Brazil heaped praise on the summer signing.
“Do you know what I love about Sadio Mane? He is quick and tough for a little guy,” Brazil said.
“He won’t take any nonsense from anyone. There is a little bit of nastiness in him as well. He is a great buy.”
Mane was the most expensive of Liverpool’s summer signings after his £34m switch from Southampton.
The Senegal forward is Liverpool’s leading goal-scorer in the Premier League after a return of eight goals in 17 games.
