Ray Parlour makes confident transfer prediction about Tottenham duo
The Arsenal legend doesn't expect Danny Rose and Kyle Walker to leave Tottenham Hotspur
Ray Parlour doesn’t expect Danny Rose and Kyle Walker to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the near future.
The England internationals have managed to establish themselves as one of the best full-back pairings in the Premier League since Mauricio Pochettino took charge of the north London outfit in 2014.
The Sun reported earlier this month that Jose Mourinho wanted Manchester United to sign both Rose and Walker to bolster his full-back options following injury-hit spells for Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia.
The same article stated that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was an admirer of Tottenham left-back Danny Rose after the English defender’s return of two goals and two assists in 15 appearances in the Premier League this term.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Parlour insists it wouldn’t make sense for Rose or Walker to leave Tottenham given that Pochettino is building something special at White Hart Lane.
“Everybody has signed new contracts at Spurs. Pochettino has signed as well. The new stadium is being built. Everything is looking good for Spurs. They’ve just got to keep going now,” Parlour told the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast when asked about the Rose and Walker reports.
Tottenham finished in third place in the Premier League table last season and 11 points behind eventual champions Leicester City.
