Rio Ferdinand predicts where Man United will finish under Jose Mourinho

Rio Ferdinand is confident that Manchester United will finish in the top four this season

Rio Ferdinand is confident that Manchester United will finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.

The Red Devils have begun to find some consistent form in the Premier League after initially struggling to click into gear under new boss Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United have won their last six Premier League games on the spin as they prepare for their crunch showdown with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Mourinho’s men now seem to have found their feet under their new boss and appear to be clicking into gear under the Portuguese coach.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the table but know that a win over Liverpool would cut the gap to the Reds down to just two points.

And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand feels that the Red Devils have what it takes to finish in the top four this season under Mourinho.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Ferdinand said: “With Mourinho, I just think it’s a case of how long it’s going to take him to get things how he wants them.

“I think, looking at the run we’re on now, finishing in the top four is definitely something we can look at.

“Anything beyond that would be great but I’m not looking any further than getting back into the Champions League, consolidating and moving on from there.”
