Roberto Carlos: What midfielder told me about life at Chelsea
The Real Madrid legend reveals what Chelsea forward Willian tells him about life at the Premier League leaders
Roberto Carlos has revealed that he regularly speaks to Willian and the midfiedler is loving life at Chelsea.
The Brazil international has continued his impressive form for the west London side under new manager Antonio Conte this season.
Willian was one of the only Chelsea players to emerge with any credit last season after a disappointing defence of their Premier League crown under Jose Mourinho and then Guus Hiddink.
The South American playmaker scored 11 times in 49 appearances in all competitions in the 2015-16 season, although the winger has already netted six goals in 18 appearances this term.
Willian has proven a key figure in Chelsea’s title bid as the west London side eased to a 2-0 win against Hull City last weekend to move eight points clear at the top of the table.
Speaking to Sky Sports, former Real Madrid defender Carlos lifted the lid on his regular conversations with Willian about Chelsea.
“I always speak to Willian from Chelsea before his games – he loves it here,” Carlos said.
Willian won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2015.
