Romelu Lukaku has refused to rule out a possible transfer back to Chelsea in the future.

The striker was sold to Everton back in July 2014 after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by then-manager Jose Mourinho.

Lukaku has been a regular fixture in the Everton team since his move but there have been suggestions that he could return to Chelsea in the future.

The Belgium international was quizzed about a possible return to Stamford Bridge and although he insisted that it is not on his mind, he refused to rule out a move back to west London in the future.

Asked if he would consider a move back to Chelsea, Lukaku told talkSPORT: “I’m just focused on the season. I’m not really thinking anything about it.

“I’m focused with this team. Whatever you guys write, you guys write.

“For me, I’m not thinking about it.”

Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table following the appointment of Antonio Conte as the Blues’ new boss last summer.
