Ruben Loftus-Cheek opens up about Antonio Conte at Chelsea
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been delighted with the impact Antonio Conte has made at Chelsea this season
Ruben Loftus-Cheek feels that he has already learnt a lot by playing and training under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte this season.
The Italian was placed in charge of the Blues over the summer as he was named as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge.
Conte has had a superb impact at Chelsea following his arrival at the club and has led the Blues to the top of the Premier League table and into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Chelsea had won their last 13 Premier League games in a row before that run was halted by Tottenham last week at White Hart Lane.
Loftus-Cheek played 70 minutes as Chelsea beat Peterborough 4-1 to reach the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.
And despite his limited playing time this season, the midfielder says he has learnt a lot from playing under the new Chelsea boss.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Loftus-Cheek said: “He always helps me in training and playing different positions is only going to help my knowledge of the gam,.
“I’m getting my development in training with him.
“In all positions we can play well and we’re versatile. We saw Pedro play as a wing-back on Sunday and there are no egos, wherever we’re asked to play we’ll do that to the best of our ability.”
