Steven Gerrard delivers his honest verdict on Man United signing

Steven Gerrard believes that Paul Pogba has now begun to find his feet at Manchester United

Steven Gerrard believes that Paul Pogba has now begun to find his feet at Manchester United and has been very impressed by what he has seen from the midfielder in recent weeks.

The French midfielder is currently getting used to life back at Old Trafford following his return to the club from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Pogba returned to Old Trafford after Manchester United parted with a world-record transfer fee to bring the 23-year-old back to the club.

The France international initially struggled to produce consistent displays for the Red Devils following his return to Old Trafford but has been in impressive form in recent games.

And Gerrard is expecting big things from Pogba in the weeks and months to come for Manchester United.

Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show, Gerrard said: “I think he’s got better and stronger week by week. He’s obviously a phenomenal talent.

“Coming with that big price-tag early on weighed him down a bit and Manchester United weren’t in rhythm.

“But I think now they’ve found his best position, [Michael] Carrick complements him so well and now we’re seeing the Paul Pogba that we all expected to see.”
