Steven Gerrard is fully expecting Arsenal to finish in the top four this season.

The north London side started the season harbouring hopes of winning the title after their second-placed finish in the top flight last term.

Arsenal have finished in the top four in all of Arsene Wenger’s seasons in charge at The Emirates to secure qualification for the Champions League.

There looks set to be a fierce battle between Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and the two Manchester clubs for a top-four finish this term.

But Liverpool legend Gerrard is fully expecting to see the Gunners finish in the top four this season.

Asked whether he thinks Arsenal will finish in the top four this term, Gerrard told BT Sport: “I think they’ve got a very good chance.”

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
