Michael Owen states his prediction for Swansea v Arsenal

Michael Owen looks ahead to Arsenal's trip to Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon

Michael Owen is backing Arsenal to return to winning ways by beating Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners head into the game looking to get their Premier League bid back on track after they were held to a 3-3 by Bournemouth in their most recent top flight outing last week.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and eight points behind leaders Chelsea heading into this weekend’s round of games.

And former Liverpool striker Owen is fully expecting to see Arsenal claim all three points on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, former Manchester United man Owen said: “Arsenal, no win in three away from home in the Premier League, need to get back to winning ways on the road if they are to get back into the title race.

“The Gunners have conceded in their last six Premier League away games and that is not the stuff of champions.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Arsenal to win and both teams to score.”

Arsenal are looking to win the Premier League for the first time since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.

The north London side finished second and without a trophy last season after winning the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015.
