Theo Walcott sends message to Alexis Sanchez after Arsenal winner

Theo Walcott had a message for Alexis Sanchez after Arsenal's dramatic 2-1 win over Burnley at The Emirates

Theo Walcott singled out Alexis Sanchez for special praise after the Chile international’s late penalty earned Arsenal victory over Burnley at The Emirates on Sunday.

It was a dramatic second half at The Emirates as the visitors scored a stoppage-time penalty to level the score at 1-1 and make it look as if Arsenal would have to settle for a point.

However, Laurent Koscielny was then brought down in the box with seconds remaining and Sanchez duly stepped up to convert the penalty and take all three points for the Gunners.

Walcott is currently sidelined with an injury but watched from the stands as Arsenal fought back to move up to second in the Premier League.

And the Arsenal forward was clearly appreciative of Sanchez’s contribution on Sunday afternoon.

Walcott tweeted after the game:
