Thibaut Courtois sends strong message to Chelsea’s title rivals
Thibaut Courtois warns Chelsea's title rivals that they are under more pressure than Antonio Conte's men
Thibaut Courtois has warned Chelsea’s title rivals that they are under more pressure than the Blues in the race for the Premier League trophy this season.
The west London side have established themselves as the firm favourites to win the Premier League title this season and are currently seven points clear at the top of the table.
Chelsea earned praise for their performance on Saturday night as they thrashed Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium to continue their good form.
Both Tottenham and Liverpool are currently seven points behind the leaders in the race for the top-flight title.
And Courtois feels that the pressure is more on their title rivals than themselves in the race for the trophy.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Courtois said: “Obviously if you are in front you have the pressure of wanting to keep that gap, but we are there, we are seven points clear and the pressure is more on the other teams than on us.
“We must keep winning our games but we are in a good moment and things are going well.
“Last season we were having a rough time, it was harder to get the wins and we were having bits of bad luck, but this year everything is in our favour so we want to keep the momentum and win our games.”
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon as they look to keep their title bid on track.
