Thierry Henry delivers verdict on Chelsea in the title race

Thierry Henry admits that it looks like the Premier League title is Chelsea's to lose at the moment

Thierry Henry believes that the Premier League title is currently Chelsea’s to lose.

The Blues have been the most consistent team this season and are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea returned to winning ways in style last weekend when they beat defending champions Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The west London side have established themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this season and have built an seven-point lead at the top of the table.

And after Liverpool slipped down into third place following their 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday, Henry admitted that Chelsea are the team to stop in the title race.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Henry said: “I guess it was perfect for Chelsea that Liverpool and Man United drew.

“They bounced back from their defeat. Can someone stop them? Can someone capitalise on them losing points? The other day they lost against Tottenham but the ones that could capitalise didn’t.

“It looks like it is Chelsea’s to lose at the moment.”
