Thierry Henry makes claim about Liverpool star Roberto Firmino
Thierry Henry says Roberto Firmino is likely to be one of the first names on the Liverpool team sheet under Jurgen Klopp
Thierry Henry believes that Roberto Firmino is the first player that Jurgen Klopp thinks about including in the starting line-up to lead Liverpool’s attack.
The Brazilian attacker has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Reds in recent seasons following his arrival at Anfield from Hoffenheim.
Firmino has been in good form for Liverpool so far this season, scoring six goals and making three assists in the Premier League.
And Arsenal legend Henry has been very impressed with the impact that Firmino has had at Liverpool this season.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Henry said: “This man, I’m sure, is always the first guy that Jurgen Klopp thinks about in his front three. Why? Because he does the other side of the job that sometimes people do not actually think about when they refer to a striker.”
Liverpool, who finished eighth last season, were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.
The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea as they look to keep up with Antonio Conte’s men at the top of the pile.
