Thierry Henry: This Chelsea player isn’t fazed by anything
The former Arsenal striker heaps praise on Diego Costa for the Chelsea star's lively return to Antonio Conte's first-team
Thierry Henry claimed that Diego Costa isn’t fazed by anything after the striker scored in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Hull City on Sunday afternoon.
The Spain international returned to the Blues side this weekend after Costa missed Chelsea’s 3-0 win against defending champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium due to a reported disagreement with manager Antonio Conte over interest from China.
Costa broke the deadlock for the west London side in their 2-0 win against Hull after the Spanish centre-forward scored in the seventh minute of added time at the end of the first half.
The 28-year-old has now netted 15th goal in 20 games in the 2016-17 Premier League season to leave Costa at the top of the goal-scoring charts in the English top flight.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Costa’s performance against the Tigers on Sunday, retired Arsenal and France forward Henry heaped praise on the Blues striker.
“Right from the start after the volley he did. He wanted to calm everybody down and say, ‘I’m here, don’t worry.’ He kept the ball well. He was at it. He was trying to chase everything – his usual self. That is him. He is not fazed by anything that is happening,” Henry said.
Chelsea are eight points ahead of second-placed Arsenal in the Premier League title race.
