Thierry Henry: This is why I’ve been so impressed by Chelsea

Thierry Henry delivers his verdict on Chelsea after the Blues' 3-0 win over Leicester last weekend

Thierry Henry has admitted that he was extremely impressed by Chelsea’s professional performance in their 3-0 victory at Leicester at the weekend.

The Blues headed into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

Chelsea were in impressive form against the Foxes as Marcos Alonso scored twice and Pedro Rodriguez netted late on to hand Antonio Conte’s men the three points.

The win extended Chelsea’s lead at the top of the table to seven points after Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

And Arsenal legend Henry praised Chelsea for the way they went about their business at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Henry said: “They were [impressive at Leicester]. They were impressive because everyone thought it was going to be a difficult game against Leicester, but they found a way to win the game.

“I think their system and the way they play… whoever plays in that system feels like they can score goals. They won 3-0 and they looked comfortable.”
