Watch: Chelsea youngster puts in hard graft at home to prove a point to Antonio Conte
Charly Musonda is looking to impress Antonio Conte at Chelsea after returning from a loan spell at Real Betis
Charly Musonda has been working hard to keep himself as fit as possible as the Chelsea youngster looks to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge this season.
Musonda, who is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea’s first team this season, posted a video of himself training hard at home by putting himself through a number of core exercises.
The player posted the video clip above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Work at home 💪👍 #DoNotDisturb 🚷”
Speaking about Musonda ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Peterborough at the weekend, Blues boss Antonio Conte appeared to hint that the 20-year-old could be once again sent out on loan.
Conte is quoted as saying by Metro: “For Musonda, for Kenedy, this month is important. They went on loan and it’s important to wait this month [to see] what happens, to evaluate the situation in the right way and then make the solution for the club, for the players above all,’ the coach told reporters.
“We know now that if Musonda or Kenedy play one second with us, they can’t go on loan.
“For this reason it’s important to evaluate. Kenedy is training with us only two weeks, Charly only 10 days.
“It’s important to evaluate these players and then make the best decision for the players, for the team, for the club and for me.”
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday night as they look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
The west London side are five points clear at the top of the table.
