Watch: Mamadou Sakho drops hint about Liverpool future on Instagram

The Liverpool defender is working hard in the gym to maintain his fitness during the January transfer window

Mamadou Sakho has taken to Instagram to reveal that he will be back on the pitch soon although it is unclear whether it will be in a Liverpool shirt.

The France defender hasn’t made an appearance in the Liverpool side this season after falling out-of-favour during pre-season under manager Jurgen Klopp.

Sakho was sent home early from the Merseyside outfit’s summer tour of the United States and hasn’t been involved in the Reds squad since returning to Merseyside.

The 26-year-old has kept his social media followers updated with his training sessions despite being frozen out of the Liverpool squad.

Sakho has been linked with a move to Southampton in recent weeks as the France centre-half looks to end his nightmare at the 18-time English champions.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender posted the above clip on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Soon on the pitch 👌🏿⚽️… 🇫🇷🇪🇸🇧🇪🇮🇹🇷🇺🇹🇷🇨🇰🇨🇳🇩🇪… ”
