Wes Brown makes claim about Chelsea and Tottenham in the title race

Wes Brom claims that Chelsea and Tottenham have been playing the best football in the title race this season

Wes Brown has claimed that Chelsea and Tottenham have been playing the best football in the race for the Premier League title this season.

The Blues are currently leading the way at the top of the table after an impressive start to the season under new boss Antonio Conte.

Chelsea are seven points ahead of second-placed Tottenham, who themselves have earned plenty of praise in recent weeks and thrashed West Brom 4-0 at White Hart Lane last weekend.

The west London side are the firm favourites to win the Premier League title this season as they prepare for their clash against Hull City on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are gearing up for their showdown against Manchester City on Saturday night.

And former Manchester United man Brown has been particularly impressed by the Blues and the Lilywhites this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday, Brown said: “I like the way Tottenham are playing at the moment. In the first half [against West Brom], I thought that’s how you play a game of football. They were relaxed. Everyone knew what they were doing. The way they attacked and their finishing as well.

“Tottenham and Chelsea have been playing the best football.”
