Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes honest admission: I must improve this at Man United
Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals he is focused on making more assists for Manchester United this season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he is focused on making more assists for Manchester United in the second half of the season.
The Swedish striker has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Red Devils since his arrival at the club on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The 35-year-old has quashed any doubts about his ability to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League by becoming a central figure in Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United team and scoring more than 10 goals so far this term.
Ibrahimovic has been a regular fixture in the starting line-up this season but had only made two assists in the Premier League heading into Manchester United’s clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
And the veteran forward admits that he wants to add more assists to his game in the second half of the campaign.
Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Ibrahimovic said: “I haven’t had many assists so far and that is part of my game that I’ve been missing here in my six months at United.
“At my other clubs I’ve been scoring goals but I’ve also done a lot of assists. I’m happy to give an assist because for me it is just like you have scored yourself.
“It’s part of my game and I have wanted to be as complete as possible in my game since I was young and started to play football.
“I want to be good at everything, not in one thing, so the assists will come. Some have come already but even more will come.”
