Ander Herrera sends message to Man United chiefs about his future

Ander Herrera insists that he wants to stay at Manchester United but is yet to open talks about his future

Ander Herrera has insisted that he wants to stay at Manchester United but has not begun any talks about a new contract.

The Spanish midfielder has been a regular fixture in the Red Devils team the season under new boss Jose Mourinho as Manchester United look to break back into the top four.

The midfielder has made 21 Premier League appearances for Mourinho’s men, notching up three assists for his team-mates in the race for Champions League qualifciation.

Herrera is a firm favourite amongst Manchester United fans and currently has 18 months left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.

However, he has revealed that he is yet to open talks with the Red Devils about extending his stay at the club.

Herrera is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “I have nothing to talk about.

“Of course, if they want to talk with me, I will be very happy to do that. But so far, nothing.”

Herrera will be expecting to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Watford at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
