Antoine Griezmann to Man United: Insider delivers latest update on transfer reports
Guillem Balague says Antoine Griezmann's future is far from decided as he continues to be linked with Manchester United
Guillem Balague has warned Manchester United that they are likely to face competition from other top clubs if they want to try and sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have been touted as a possible destination for the France international in the summer transfer window as Jose Mourinho ponders bolstering his squad ahead of his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
There is, of course, yet to be any official confirmation of interest from the Red Devils as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
Spanish football expert Balague believes that the Red Devils are indeed interested in signing Griezmann but feels that his next move is far from decided.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday afternoon, Balague said: If you think Manchester United are the only team interested in him then you’ve got something else coming.
“For a player like that, if he becomes available, there will be a big dispute.
“Do Manchester United want him? There is no doubt about that and he thinks they do.
“In the summer his representatives let Atletico know about offers from Manchester City and United – he said no.
“But his future is not linked to [Diego] Simeone.
“All of his people are saying he has not taken a decision on his future but going to the Premier League is certainly something he wants to do in his career.”
Manchester United are currently preparing to take on Hull City in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Wednesday night as they bid to get back to winning ways in the top flight.
